Are you interested in leadership, cross-sectoral collaboration and a more united community of environmental educators?

AAEE NSW is offering a FREE Leadership for Sustainability Skills Development Program for 30 current and emerging leaders of NSW Regional Environmental Educator Networks*, from mid-October 2016 to February 2017.

*It's okay if you are not currently part of a RSEN, but you need to be willing to join one!

The program consists of pre-workshop webinar in mid-October, a two-day workshop in Sydney in late October and three follow-up webinars (one each in November, December and February 2017). (Dates to be confirmed).

The workshop and webinars will be run by some of Australia's leading sustainability education trainers, including Les Robinson and Larraine Larri, to help you develop your skills in:

• Leadership & collaboration for better project outcomes

• Facilitation and other community engagement skills

• Strategic planning & evaluation, including how to use program logic to make your sustainability education project a success!

• Running effective (and fun) networks & groups and using new technology to overcome communication challenges.

Les Robinson is a specialist in community change and is one of Australia's most engaging facilitators. He is the author of Changeology: How to Enable Groups, Communities and Societies to do Things They've Never Done Before, an entertaining and illuminating "crash course in social change thinking". Les trains staff and volunteers in the fields of sustainability, health promotion, road safety, natural resource management and emergency management and facilitates engaging forums, workshops, community events and conferences.

Larraine Larri is an evaluator, planner, facilitator, educationist, interactive multimedia project manager and change management consultant. She has over 30 years experience in public and private sector education, training and employment organisations. For the last 12 years, Larraine has been at the forefront of researching and evaluating education for sustainability programs and was the project manager for the recent Skilling Educators for Sustainability Australia project (SESA).

Stage 2 involves working with the RSENs on strategic planning, capacity building and collaborative cross-sectoral on-ground projects.

This project is one big step in the implementation of ‘Make the Change: A Framework for Education and Engagement for Sustainability 2014-2021’ which was developed by AAEE NSW in partnership with NSW OEH.
