About Sustainable Schools NSW
Sustainable Schools NSW is enabling schools in NSW to connect, collaborate and inspire a sustainable future for all.
The work of Sustainable Schools NSW aims to connect teachers and environmental educators with relevant resources, interactive lessons and a like-minded community to help spread the important message of sustainability to future generations.
EE NSW is passionate about the Sustainable Schools NSW Program. Helping schools take action for their local environment is important to us. We want to help build stronger connections between schools and their community, including through our Make the Change project, and keep building the program to be as relevant and useful as possible.

History of Sustainable Schools NSW
First developed in 2002 by the NSW Government, Sustainable Schools NSW helped schools take a whole school approach to sustainability, implement their School Environmental Management Plan, network with their local community and nurture a generation of environmental leaders. Following 15 years of management by the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH), Sustainable Schools is now being managed by Environmental Education NSW.
