To continue the legacy of Grahame Collier‘s work mentoring environmental educators in regional NSW, AAEE NSW have established the Grahame Collier Regional Mentor Scholarship.
This scholarship supports an environmental educator from regional NSW who mentors others to attend the NSW Environmental Education Conference held every two years.
The inaugural scholarship will be offered to support attendance at the 2019 NSW Environmental Education Conference, ActiveNature, being held in Kirrawee from 2-5 October 2019. The scholarship covers the full attendance fee at the Conference, including any social events (e.g. Conference dinner and/or welcome reception). All other costs are at the delegates expense.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a current member of AAEE
- Be an active member of their local Regional Sustainability Educators Network (RSEN) or other relevant local environmental education network
- Be located outside the Greater Sydney metropolitan area in a regional part of NSW
- Explain in 100 words or less how they mentor other environmental educators and why attending the conference will help them in their work.
